Welcome to the Tree of Peace Society
As an organization based on the principles of universal peace, the Tree of Peace Society emphasizes individual responsibility for one's actions, a deep personal relationship with the natural world, and the acknowledgement that all living things are blessings from the creator to be treated with sensitivity and respect.
With this in mind, we hope that your visit will allow you to recognize and/or extend your responsibility to the natural world and a peaceful existence as one of the Creator's finest creations.
Established in 1984 and incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in 1992, the Tree of Peace Society office is located on the Akwesasne Mohawk reservation in Hogansburg, New York, which borders the provinces of Quebec and Ontario, Canada along the St. Lawrence River.
A Personal Message from Jake
It has now been over twenty five years since the Tree of Peace Society was formed to promote universal peace through the planting of trees throughout the world. I am greatly encouraged by how warmly people have responded to our efforts and how determined you have all been to hold on to our founding principles. I have been most impressed by your grasp of our responsibilities to the coming generations and your willingness to work together to further the goals of the Tree of Peace Society.
I have envisioned a day when all of our dreams become a reality. Our multicultural programs, historical presentations, environmental forums, and youth and elders activities have enjoyed great success and every positive accomplishment comes with additional requests. This inspires me to continue the work and hopefully our work inspires you to join in our efforts. I congratulate you if you have already found the path to the peace we all seek and hope to cross paths with more like minded people such as you. Niawen for visiting our website!
